Welcome to the Ogden Elementary Spanish K-4 website!  Here you will find information on what students are working on in class as well as what students should be practicing at home!  

In order to support in-class learning, students should spend at least 30-60 minutes each week practicing Spanish outside of class.  You can access current vocabulary and dialogue study sets on my Quizlet site here:  https://quizlet.com/classes/jjmelnyk/   For additional practice suggestions, please click on the "Additional Practice" page above!

When creating lesson plans, I reference the "Standards for Foreign Language Learning" and ACTFL as a method for creating standard-based curriculum based on the 5 C's of language learning:  Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons and Communities.
